11:I have done B.sc. with physics as a major subject, which field provides me the best opportunity to move ahead?
You can go for MSc in Physics. There are many openings as engineer after that.
12:I am studying .m sc in zoology 1st year what are my prospects about job from this line of zoology.
Zoologists work in either research or teaching(universities/colleges). They may find employment also in pharmaceutical and animal feed companies.Research Zoologists may work in government backed centres on a variety of subjects including animal behaviour, pest control and the population ecology of birds, etc.B Ed after M Sc leads to teaching in higher secondary classes.
13:My subjects are Chemistry, Botany and Zoology in B.Sc. I want to pursue Biotechnology. Please tell me the prospects in details.
Biotechnology is essentially research-oriented work in diverse fields such as agriculture, animal husbandry, pharmaceuticals, textiles, chemicals, genetics and environmental sciences. Biotechnologists have been able to improve the quality, nutritional content and yield of food products, alter genetic defects in animals and humans, create pesticides that protect crops without harming consumers, deal with wastes in an environment friendly manner and so on. As ongoing research keeps extending the horizons of knowledge, the scope of this field remains virtually infinite, making BT one of the hottest career avenues today, after IT. Exciting developments in genomics and DNA research, medical and agro-biotech are capturing the world’s fancy. As this is essentially a research-oriented field, there is a demand for scientists and researchers for which a PhD is the minimum requirement. There is need for more trained technicians with excellent lab skills. Many avenues of employment exist and many new ones like Bioinformatics are emerging.
It is estimated that 3 lakh jobs will be generated in next three years. Even if we discount the exaggeration, BT does seem to be a "happening" field of work, offering exciting future prospects. In other words, it is unlikely that qualified biotechnologists will remain unemployed.
Most biotechnologists work in pharmaceutical, chemical, medical, instrumentation, poultry, animal and plant breeding, seed, floriculture and plant tissue culture-based industries. They are also involved in planning, production and management of bio-process and chemical industries, and pollution control in manufacturing plants. Many others work in universities and research labs run by the government or in R &D departments in the corporate sector. Employers include multinationals, large public and private sector corporations, pharma majors and research institutions and laboratories, both government and private, around the country.
You can even look at managerial positions in large organisations, where a Master’s in Biotechnology would work in your favour.
14:I have done MSc zoology. I want to know about the jobs related to this field?
You have a fairly wide range of options:
Besides teaching, you could take up the job of a Research Assistant in a university, government body, health authority or industry or that of an Analyst in food & beverage and pharmaceutical industries to maintain quality and consistency of the products.
You could even work as a Medical or Laboratory Technician in hospitals and scientific institutions involved in conducting research and training.
Another area you could consider is marketing of pharmaceutical and healthcare products to medical and veterinary practitioners, retail pharmacists, hospitals and clinics.
Wildlife & forest conservation is yet another area you could be looking at. There the work could involve conducting biological surveys and making recommendations on the management and safeguarding of rare and endangered plants, animals and their habitats.
Forest and Wildlife Management is another upcoming field. The Indian Institute of Forest Management, Bhopal is a premier institution in this field.
The Indian Forest Service also offers a rewarding career in the reserved forests and wildlife sanctuaries.
You could of course take a shot at the Civil Services exam if you are so inclined.
By pursuing specialized courses you could specialise in related areas like sericulture (rearing silk worms), aquaculture/pisciculture (breeding fish and other marine life), social forestry, conservation of wildlife, dairy and poultry farming, animal husbandry or the upcoming fields of biotechnology and bioinformatics.
After higher studies in Zoology you could work as a scientist in research-centered institutions like the Zoological Survey of India, the Indian Council for Forestry Research & Education, or the Wildlife Institute, Dehradun.

As it is you need to be a graduate first before you can plan for a three year LLB programme or a two year MBA, so fulfill the requirements for the degree in nautical science, work for a while and then decide whether you want to give up the merchant navy. Your law degree would not be a specialized one but you could work in maritime law thereafter through relevant experience. For professionals working in the merchant navy the Postgraduate Diploma in Maritime Operation and Management at Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur (www.iitkgp.ernet.in/pgdmom) would be a specialized option. Otherwise you could do a general MBA. Making the switch would be advisable when you are well informed about the options in law and MBA, aware of the opportunities and sure that you have the right personality for it.
