You can go for MSc in Physics. There are many openings as engineer after that.

12:I am studying .m sc in zoology 1st year what are my prospects about job from this line of zoology.
Zoologists work in either research or teaching(universities/colleges). They may find employment also in pharmaceutical and animal feed companies.Research Zoologists may work in government backed centres on a variety of subjects including animal behaviour, pest control and the population ecology of birds, etc.B Ed after M Sc leads to teaching in higher secondary classes.

13:My subjects are Chemistry, Botany and Zoology in B.Sc. I want to pursue Biotechnology. Please tell me the prospects in details.

Biotechnology is essentially research-oriented work in diverse fields such as agriculture, animal husbandry, pharmaceuticals, textiles, chemicals, genetics and environmental sciences. Biotechnologists have been able to improve the quality, nutritional content and yield of food products, alter genetic defects in animals and humans, create pesticides that protect crops without harming consumers, deal with wastes in an environment friendly manner and so on. As ongoing research keeps extending the horizons of knowledge, the scope of this field remains virtually infinite, making BT one of the hottest career avenues today, after IT. Exciting developments in genomics and DNA research, medical and agro-biotech are capturing the world’s fancy. As this is essentially a research-oriented field, there is a demand for scientists and researchers for which a PhD is the minimum requirement. There is need for more trained technicians with excellent lab skills. Many avenues of employment exist and many new ones like Bioinformatics are emerging.
It is estimated that 3 lakh jobs will be generated in next three years. Even if we discount the exaggeration, BT does seem to be a "happening" field of work, offering exciting future prospects. In other words, it is unlikely that qualified biotechnologists will remain unemployed.
Most biotechnologists work in pharmaceutical, chemical, medical, instrumentation, poultry, animal and plant breeding, seed, floriculture and plant tissue culture-based industries. They are also involved in planning, production and management of bio-process and chemical industries, and pollution control in manufacturing plants. Many others work in universities and research labs run by the government or in R &D departments in the corporate sector. Employers include multinationals, large public and private sector corporations, pharma majors and research institutions and laboratories, both government and private, around the country.
You can even look at managerial positions in large organisations, where a Master’s in Biotechnology would work in your favour.

14:I have done MSc zoology. I want to know about the jobs related to this field?

You have a fairly wide range of options:
Besides teaching, you could take up the job of a Research Assistant in a university, government body, health authority or industry or that of an Analyst in food & beverage and pharmaceutical industries to maintain quality and consistency of the products.
You could even work as a Medical or Laboratory Technician in hospitals and scientific institutions involved in conducting research and training.

1:How great is the demand for aerospace engineers ?
Usually only a few seats are available in this discipline in few selected engineering colleges/institutions as it is a highly specialised but small branch of engineering. Most of the opportunities tend to be in research, academia, working in defence or for the government.

2:I want to know about the employment opportunities for Aerospace Engineering from IIT.
Aerospace engineers design, develop and test aircraft, space vehicles, missiles, etc. applying engineering principles and techniques. The best opportunities available in the sphere of aerospace engineering would be available for students graduating from the IITs. Placement is usually in organizations like HAL, DRDO, space research organizations, defence establishments, airlines and aircraft industry, in general. Most students, however, opt to pursue higher studies more suitable for opportunities in research and development, teaching, etc.

3:What is included in the entrance examination for B Arch courses?

Architecture entrance tests like AIEEE (www.aieee.nic.in) evaluates Mathematics and Architectural aptitude. Most other architecture aptitude tests just have an aptitude test that calls for geometric construction of lines, curves, forms, rotations, and development of surfaces, simple plans and elevations, lettering, visual logic, composition, space relation, colour concepts, aesthetic appreciation, basic knowledge of significant buildings, building elements and materials, memory drawing, sense of three dimensions, shading and colouring, proportion and scale.

7:I want to go for IIT. How should I go about it if I don't want to drop or waste a year?

Serious contenders for the IIT-JEE start their preparations right after completing class 10. The admission notification will appear in November. The examination would be held in April. You may apply for the first time during the year in which you appear for the Board Exams(class 12th) and the next year. You should have secured at least 60% (55% for SC/ST/PD) marks in the Board Examinations.

8:I am student of Class XII and want to give IIT-JEE 2007 Since I haven't started preparing yet, will I be able to complete my preparation for the Screening test on time?

There is no standard rule for this. If you are already ahead with your class 12 studies, then you just need to step up the tempo, assimilate all that you still don't know. The IIT JEE of 2006 is to set a new trend, so you would get an idea of the level of preparedness for the examination by analysing that. You can only put in your best effort now. Most students start their preparation for IIT-JEE as soon as they complete class 10 exams.

9:I am an aspirant for IIT and want to join a correspondence course. Which would be the best one?
Since this is the first time the new pattern will be used, only afterwards can anyone tell you tutorial was better and that too if one person used more than one such package. Most provide good study material. Before you sign up, research the manner of delivery, provision of feedback on assignments, series of mock tests and analyses, etc. Keep in touch with seniors who have either one set of material and assess their views. It is always better to get a first hand feedback. However, the magic is in the manner in which you make use of the help, material and other aids you have access to. So, whichever you choose, make sure that you are prepared to give 100% to it.
10:What are the subjects and requirements for applying for the IIIT-Hyderabad?

I started to prepare for these exams for my better career. The exam was in jan 2006 & it was a pretty tough one. But still though I fared well than oter students with whom i discussed later on.I am a general category student & my centre was in J&K.I WANT TO KNOW THE MINIMUM PASSING MARKS INTO EXAM FOR GENERAL CATEGORY?

Knowledge of the passing mark will not help in any way because the decision of the board is final. You have to move forward with the acceptance that you did not make it.
Comparing your performance with the opinion of others does not in any way confirm that you did well. Try for more such openings. If you have been doing your job well, you should be able to move to better paying private jobs too. In the 21st century job scenario, do not waste time on what is past, stop worrying about the future and live in the present. That will help you to focus better on your goals.

16:I am a student of mechanical engineering. I am thinking of opting for IAS exams. I would like to make an informed choice in selecting the right subject for my Optional paper.

In terms of professional/technical courses the order of preference for Optional subjects is Law, Electrical, Civil, and Mechanical Engineering followed by Medical Science and Management. However, even though Law is the most popular, it’s had the lowest success rate while Medical Science. The recent trends indicate that the ten most sought after Optionals are History, Public Administration, Geography, Anthropology, Mathematics, Hindi Literature, Sociology, Philosophy, Physics and finally Political Science and Administration. Another interesting trend is that except for Hindi Literature, candidates have rejected all other languages.

But this is only a trend and you should not base your choice of Optionals on the basis of a trend or on what subject the topper opted for in the previous year. Incidentally, Commerce has now become Commerce & Accountancy and Political Science has become Political Science & International Relations. The newer subjects that have been included in the list of Optionals are Anthropology and Management.

24:Sir kindly tell me about Psychometric Test in various competitive examinations for engineers such as in NTPC?

Psychometric testing usually falls into three main types: Ability testing, Aptitude testing and Personality questionnaires. An ability test such as the General Ability Test (GAT) is usually made up of four tests of specific ability - numerical ability; verbal ability; non-verbal ability and spatial ability. Aptitude tests tend to be job related while personality questionnaires aim to identify the enduring characteristics of the person that are significant for interpersonal behaviour. In the case of selection of engineering graduates for NTPC, the psychometric test, group discussion and interview are held only for candidates who have qualified the selection test which has testing of subject knowledge and Executive Aptitude. For the Psychometric test, you only have to give an objective response to help the recruiter identify your personality traits relevant for the organisation. You are not expected to prepare any model answers for such tests.

39:: i am a final year student in BE(ece).what kind of jobs i can look forward .especially in telecommunication

It would be impractical to suggest what jobs would be offered but you can expect technical support and maintenance, customer services, and manufacturing, design and development jobs in telecommunications, data communications, network architecture, wireless, and optical networking. Your initial entry into the job market depends on your performance in the engineering programme and the campus placement available at the engineering college you graduate from.
