DU 2016 Admission Process
The University of Delhi will be offering admission to various undergraduate programmes in its constituent colleges for the academic year 2016 on the basis of marks secured in the qualifying Board Examinations (of 10+2 examination system). The admission process begins with the announcement of DU 2016 Application Form which is then followed by declaration of cutoff marks and verification of documents at par University regulations and eligibility criteria of the offered programme. Once the formalities are over, you will be offered admission to the UG programme in the college of your choice after remitting the admission fees.

DU 2016 Programmes

Delhi University offers a number of regular programmes at undergraduate level. Candidates who aspire to pursue UG programmes through the Central University after passing 12th Board Exams of 10+2 examination system can find below the list of programmes as offered by the University. 


University offers admissions in the regular three-year degree programmes in various faculties as mentioned below besides Law, Computer Applications and Management departments.

Moreover, the University also offers technical degree programmes of medical and engineering departments.

Besides the above mentioned conventional programmes, the University of Delhi also offers distance learning programmes (corresponding courses) for DU Admission 2016 under the Campus of Open Learning. As many as 22 courses are offered at the campus including Software Application Development, Web Designing, 3D Animation & Modeling, Photography and English Proficiency.

 The varsity also offers Certificates, Diploma and Advanced Diploma in a number of foreign languages including French, German, Spanish, Japanese, Chinese, Portuguese and Romanian. These foreign language programmes are offered as part-time programmes under the University guidelines.

The North Campus of Delhi University has 16 faculties and 84 departments while the South Campus has 19 departments and 5 learning centres.

DU 2016 Application Forms

University of Delhi is inviting online applications from June 1, 2016 for admissions to three-year undergraduate programmes. Candidates can apply for DU Admission 2016, through single–Common Pre-Admission OMR Application Form for a number of courses in the constituent colleges of the Central University. Moreover, it is advised that they need to choose as many courses as possible in as many colleges as they wish through the single DU 2016 Application Form. You’ll need to remit an application fee of Rs. 100 only in online mode using Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking. The filled-in applications of DU Admission 2016 need to be submitted before last week of June.

DU 2016 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates need to meet the eligibility criteria of DU Admission 2016, for applying for the UG courses in the University. DU 2016 Eligibility Criteria mentions the minimum academic qualifications and score required for Admission to various colleges of the varsity. It is hereby mentioned by the Delhi University officials that the University hasn’t set any age bar for any of the offered UG programmes.

DU 2016 Cutoff

The constituent colleges of Delhi University will be announcing cutoff for DU Admission 2016 for each of the courses. DU 2016 Cutoff will be calculated on the basis of ‘Best of Four’ subjects’ formula. Once you meet DU Cutoff 2016 of the particular college for the mentioned programme, you will be offered Admission in the programme in that college, after verification of documents. Delhi University through its colleges will be announcing as many as 14 cutoff lists for DU Admission 2016 for each category–General, OBC, SC, ST and PwD.
