Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture & Technology is the first university in India to bring agriculture and technology together. The university was established as the first agricultural university in the country with the name of Uttar Pradesh Agricultural University. Later, the university was rechristened with its present name to honor the great former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh.
